Re: Hearthstone

Cool guys - a Skype session is definitely in order. Too bad they haven't added a spectator mode yet - that would help if we had an odd number of players. Zack makes a foursome though, so that's pretty cool! Bob, I think the game gets a good bit deeper when one starts getting into the non-basic cards...

Re: Hearthstone

Jon (and interested others too) - Also checking in to see if you've been playing Hearthstone at all? Zack and I are still, albeit pretty casually. Would be fun to get together for a few hands, and would be nice to talk over Skype and get caught up too (since I've been missing gaming nights like a je...

Re: Guts vs. Spirit / Sanity Systems

Not that I have any right weighing in at this point, but IMO this is Savage Worlds - simpler and faster is better.

Re: Hearthstone

I sent a friend request to your lancer.x email. And, I wasn't wow'ed by the game when I first checked it out, but after playing a bit more, yeah, I'm all in. :) I accepted your request last night, so I think we're all set there. Agreed about the game being a slow burn. The tutorial didn't grab me i...

You can still play on your PC if you like though.

Re: Elder Scrolls Online

Dude, that flooding looks like no fun! Stay safe. No problems and no damage this time, other than a very manageable amount of water in the basement (was totally handled by the sump pumps and didn't even cover the whole floor). This all started after Hurricane Sandy, which changed the way that water...

Re: Hearthstone

I'll probably need to friend you on batle.net, too, right? How do I go about that? Yeah, possibly. I suspect we're also already friends on there though? If not, Blizz created the "real name friends" thing a while back. It involves creating Friends on an account level with RL names vs. jus...

Hearthstone

Just a quick mention that I am playing Hearthstone, so if any of you aren't friends with me on Battle.Net, let me know. I am playing very casually and sporadically, and haven't even ventured into Arena or much online (w/ real people) play yet. I have three characters that I've raised to lvl 10+, and...

Re: Elder Scrolls Online

I'm pretty interested in trying it, but am very skeptical that I'll get to game enough to make a subscription worthwhile. Not sure. I've dropped out of WoW for now, even though Zack, Mike, and Mike's kids still play a lot. I just couldn't feel like I was keeping up, which gets really old fast. If I ...

Re: Elder Scrolls Online

I'm definitely interested. However, Zack is coming to Califon this weekend, so unless we bring his PC, we will likely not be playing. For those who didn't try it last time, TESO is pretty fun. The combat is fairly real time and plays much like an action game. In other words, you need to aim your att...

Re: Expansion Management in Arkham Horror

I think the mistake is that there are expansions at all. Instead, each city should be its own base game - play Arkham Horror, or Dunwich Horror, etc. I can't argue that. Expanding an already very topheavy game is kind of a sketchy approach (unless you work in the FF marketing dept). :D I didn't fee...

Re: X-Box

Bought one over the Christmas holiday. Really enjoying Skyrim. As one of the owners of Judge's Guild had wrote, "This is how we always imagined exploring the Wilderlands" Agreed - I love the feeling of exploration in that game. One of these days I'm going to go back to it and finish it. :)
