Re: The Big Event

You actually didn't take the ship, you all plane-shifted out from within the godshead.

Re: Nate's Adventure

I just used "Oerth Incursion" for the internal docs Ken and I shared, but the adventure is essentially "Return to the Forbidden City" (the 1e module I1, Dwellers of the Forbidden City being the original)

Re: Nate's Adventure

The party successfully teleported to the rim of the rift valley on target based on the description in Fairburne's journal. They reviewed the journal to discern the best way down into the city, and settled on climbing down an enormous deklo tree which grew to several hundred feet tall, and extended a...

Re: Nate's Adventure

After the meeting at the Obsidian Manor in Sigil, you are directed to what appears to be a painting of a dark room with an irregular shaped window overlooking craggy hills. As you get closer to the painting, the details become more defined, and the perception of its depth makes it appear as if you c...

Re: [5e conversions] 15th level PCs for the Planar Crossover

I'm making a cleric and a fighter to supplement what shows up.

FYI: My part of the first half of the adventure will take place in a jungle environment, in case it helps with character selection.

No such thing as outsiders anymore, they specify celestials, elementals, fey, or fiends separately.

Re: [5e conversions] 15th level PCs for the Planar Crossover

Well, for single-classed characters, 15th and 16th are about the same (same proficiency bonus, access to 8th level spell slots, but not 9th), and pretty much all classes only get another stat bump at 16th but no additional class abilities, so besides more hit points and possibly 1 higher for attack ...

Re: 5e Earth Domain

Also, were specialty priests of Ulaa ever described in 2E? Maybe there's some ideas from that if so. The Greyhawk gods seem harder to define under 5E domains. Perhaps calling this the Ulaa Domain would be better, as a different deity with concern for Earth (like Beltar) may have differing powers bas...

Re: 5e Earth Domain

A is the same as the barbarian ability gained at 7th level as a berserker. B is what fighters get at 2nd level, so it probably more appropriate if this is the way you want to go. I went back to Ulaa to see if I could get any further ideas for a Channel Divinity effect. The general D&D Wiki wasn'...

Re: 5e Earth Domain

What if it's shards of crystal that do the damage (piercing)? Ulaa is the goddess of Hills, Mountains, and Gemstones. Her holy symbol is a mountain with a ruby heart; she places rubies in the earth as gifts to miners, who do her husband's work. Ulaa is depicted as a dwarven woman with gnomish facial...

Re: 5e Earth Domain

Yeah, but you could potentially turn a dragon just because it has wings, whether it's currently flying or not.

I also like the other alternative of dealing maximum damage, say from acid spells.

Re: 5e Earth Domain

I'm more concerned about the condition of being turned for the target: A turned creature must spend its turns trying to move as far away from you as it can, and it can’t willingly move to a space within 30 feet of you. It also can’t take reactions. For its action, it can use only the Dash action or ...
