Has anyone seen or played or purchased the new
Tunnels and Trolls? I understand it comes in a tin
box with two rulesets and several d6 inside. And
it's cheap ($25 or so).
I played the old verison once or twice in the late
seventies/ early eighties, and remember liking it.
It was back in the heyday of Choose Your Own
Adventure novels and all.

I checked out the website, but can't say that I'm very interested in another fantasy RPG - thought that it was a board game. Since I hadn't played the original, there isn't that nostalgia factor for me either.

I wouldn't be into learning a new d6 game either, but I can tell you what I remember: it was a quick game with lots of mini-adventures, some designed to be played solo, and some one-on-one with a DM and one player. So it was like Choose-Your-Own-Adventure novels, but with dice and a medieval fantansy orientation. Good for a quick gaming fix when you don't have a group to play with, or a quorum.
