Bob - Hows LotR?
Bob, I saw you were playing the new Lord of the Rings game. How is it? I'm always looking for something Jana and I can play together.

Re: Bob - Hows LotR?
Well, I've been thinking about the game. It would have been absolutely amazing 10 years ago. For today, it's definitly not a top tier game. It's entertaining enough. The art is lifted directly from the movies, which is great fun. The voice acting is decent or very good, depending. The story is neat (questing against a threat to the North while the Fellowship heads south).
It's got a Borderlands-style character progression track. But combat is a little button-mashy for my tastes. No strategic combat, more actiony.
There are quite a bit of dialogue options with NPCs but the different choices don't really have any consequences, which is a bit step back after The Bioware Revolution.

Another daring escape for the intrepid Spaceman Spiff!
