Star Wars: Capital Fleet Battles

Post by NukeHavoc »

Damon and I had discussed this briefly, but I'd like to know what everyone else things.

Is anyone interested in trying out larger-scale, capital ship battles using the Saga Edition rules? Almost all of the stuff we've done has been smaller scale, freighter/starfighter battles, but with the Mandalorian Wars underway we now have an opportunity to do much bigger battles.

Is there any interest in doing this? I'm thinking this might make for a good Sunday afternoon game (or maybe a low-attendance Friday game), as it would be more tactical than role-playing oriented, and would likely not involve our player characters. I'm thinking of these as the sort of cut-scene battles we see in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, depicting desperate battles between Mandalorians and the Republic as our characters are off saving the galaxy in their own unique ways. :)

What do you think?
