Next Pulp Minis Order

Post by Lars Porsenna »

So I'm looking at what to get next, saw these as useful figures:

Boys in Blue

Figure they might come in handy, and the manufacturer is US based so I should get them fairly fast.

Also thinking of these:

German Seebatallion

All are from Pulp Figures

UNless there are any specific requests.

So is it safe to assume no one has an opinion on this at all? Should I even bother buying these? Should I even bother buying minis for the campaign at all?

Damon, I think the minis are cool. I'm not interested in getting any myself. As for their utility to the campaign, yes, I'm sure they will be useful. I don't know that we've talked about it much but I for one wouldn't mind letting the Savage Worlds campaign run for a year or so. In which case we'll definitely get some use out of them.

I wouldn't say that we NEED them. We certainly have enough minis of various sorts to do the job. But if you'd like more realistic minis than the Heroscape skeletons, then these look pretty good. :)

Sorry Damon, I haven't had much time to respond to forum posts this week. I'll take a gander at these on Sunday. I've been through their site when I was working on a KoDT column a while back and generally speaking I think their stuff is very, very cool.

So speaking from the GM perspective the immediate need I see is for some good generic thugs, henchmen, and other mooks. I expect these will come in handy no matter where in the world you are. The Red Hand Gang is a good example of this; though they have Far Eastern trappings they are a multi-ethnic gang.

Guns for Hire

Tong Gangsters:

Cultists would also be very useful (and easily re-usable in other campaigns). I liked these:

Evil Hooded Minions 1

Cowled Cultists

I think our other big need is heroes. Here are a few I liked:

Masked Avengers

Rocket Corps

Rugged Heroes 1

Doc Thompson & his Fabulous Four

Dangerous Dames

We're eventually going to need Nazis because ... pulp.

Scouring Gestapo Guards

Arresting Gestapo Troopers

Stahl-Mask's Doom Squad

In terms of priority, I'm thinking Heroes followed by Mooks because those are the figs we'll use most often. I can afford to put about $40 toward this next month (I already spent my geeky budget for April).

What does everyone think?

Yes, I want them all. :)

I can also afford to put some bucks toward them next month.

My pulp minis order finally came in, and they threw in an extra figure! It's a sort of "dragon lady" type figure. Will look good in a nice red dress... :)
