HoD Summaries: Possible Henchmen

Putting this here to do write-ups on the possible henchmen.

First up: Bund, Master of Mercantilism

Human Male from Rookroost

Master Bund is a shrewd but fair negotiator (high Wisdom, NG alignment), who easily makes friends with his business contacts (high Chr). Master Bund is a casual follower of Zilchus, the deity of Prestige, Money, Business and Influence. Bund is honest and good natured, content to experience the wonders of the civilized world, but he has no aspirations to the adventuring life. He would much rather spend his days in an appropriately outfitted business concern, helping the aforementioned adventurers make sound business deals with their recovered plunder.

Minayn the Seer

Elven female from the Phostwood (former Tenh)

Minayn has lived a life of seclusion, first in the Phostwood, then in the southern Felreev forests. She is unused to much social interaction and is uncomfortable even in small groups if she doesn't know and trust everyone.

In her seclusion in the Felreev, Minayn has come across several areas of planar instability. She does not know what has caused these rifts, but is interested in finding out more about them.
Minayn also knows that there is a dangerous abandoned wood elf village in the the Felreev and it's approximate whereabouts, though she's never been there.

Rhael, the Humble (Card Player, Gambler, Scoundrel)

1/2 Elf Male

Rhael makes his way through life as a self-professed 'Charming Gambler'. Only his actually high Charisma allows him to pull off that self description.

Rhael is a rogue, through and through. He loves plumbing the depths of abandoned dungeons (in fact, abandoned are the BEST kind) and has a lot of experience looking for and avoiding devious traps (Dungeon Delver feat). And after a nice score in some forgotten ruin, there's nothing that Rhael loves more than living the high life, gambling, women, expensive clothes and food, until he inevitably needs to go and find another abandoned ruin (either to finance more of the high life, or to flee from someone whose wife he wooed or who he cheated at cards).

Jorius (the Glorious)

Human Male from Nyrond

Jorious is a soldier from Nyrond. Steadfast and true, Jorious' compassionate nature is a natural mask for his obsessive tendencies and his procrastination when making big decisions. Jorious plans on becoming a priest or paladin some day, when he decides which god he feels the most attached to. In the meantime, he lends his martial might to worthy causes.

Kirrith Swiftdeath

Female 1/2 elf from the Bandit Kingdoms

Kirrith has spent time in and around the Bandit Kingdoms, the former Duchy of Tenh, the Felreev Forest, the Barrens and the Tilvanot Peninsula. She has a stand-offish approach to elves due to her personal history with them, but is otherwise amenable to pursuing any noble cause. However, Kirrith has a dark streak in her. She is not prone to granting mercy to enemies and violence is usually her answer to any challenge.

Ril the Survivor

Human male from Keoland

Ril originally hails from Keoland but made his way to Obsidian Bay for a life of adventure, and commanded a small unit in the city's army. After a disastrous mission which saw many of his men killed, Ril volunteered for the search and rescue mission as a way of getting away from his tarnished reputation in the city. No matter how far he runs, though, Ril's survivor's guilt haunts his every decision.

Ril is smart and a savvy tactician (high Int and the Battlemaster archtype) and rarely fights a battle that's not on his terms. Since his unit's defeat by humanoids, Rill is more cautious than ever in his battle tactics and is quite happy to leave the important decisions to someone else. Outside of battle, Ril often has his nose in a history book and likes to brew any long forgotten ale or beer for which he can find a recipe.

Brion the Bodyguard

Human Male from Greyhawk City

Brion grew up in Greyhawk City, the Jewel of the Flanaess, City of Thieves. Several members of his family were skilled jewelers, running a respectable business catering to the wealthy, but also providing a front for the thieves' guild to alter and fence stolen gems and finery.

Brion always had a talent for swordplay and tactics, and trained early on to be a bodyguard for his father whenever he was carrying expensive merchandise (Protection fighting style), and when Brion was old enough, he received some training from the Greyhawk Thieves' Guild also, in payment for his father's services (Rogue levels).

Eventually his father retired and Brion turned to a life of adventure. A mage from the Wizard's Guild in Greyhawk was travelling south to the famed Obsidian Maze, and she hired Brion as her bodyguard. Through his adventures, Brion became adept at protecting his charge from melee' combat (Sentinel feat), and drawing monster's attention so that his employer had time to use her magic (Battlemaster archtype, controlling maneuvers). Brion was even able to put his Thieves' Guild training to good use, bypassing traps and locks (Expertise in Thieves' Tools).

When his employer decided to settle down in OB for a time to work on her discoveries, Brion was approached to undertake a search and rescue mission on behalf of the Lord Mayor.

Gimble Glittertoes

Male gnome from the Domain of Obsidian Bay

Gimble is from the Domain of Obsidian Bay and volunteered to for a search and rescue mission to the far North. Gimble has had a long relationship with the Dwarves of Khelez-Mar, venturing into the Underdark from below their settlement, and he views this search and rescue as a mission of sacred kinship.

Gimble is also very intrigued by these 'new dwarves' in the North, and is eager to find out how they may differ from the dwarves he knows from Ulek, the Domain and Khelez-Mar.

Kurath of Kord

Human male from Obsidian Bay (originally the Snow Barbarians)

Kurath traveled from the Far North to the Pomarj to seek out a legendary Champion of Kord. He found many tales in the city of Obsidian Bay, but the Champion had long since moved on, and there were many conflicting stories of where he went or if he was still alive.

When the opportunity came to travel back to the Northlands, Kurath signed up for the job, eager to return to his lands.
