Episode 23.5 ... And Back Again
Posted: Mon Oct 14, 2019 12:34 pm
The PCs have just returned from their sojour into the FeyWild, having successfully closed Bannock's Portal, and in so doing, the Singing Pools have themselves returned from being planeshifted (as the result of the magical catastrophe when a piece of the PCs souls was stolen and the Well of the Worlds was damaged/drained into the Book of Infinite Souls).
The first thing that everyone notices is that the persistent singing that was variably at the edge of your consciousness or ringing in your head as loudly as if you were standing inside of a rung bell, is completely stopped now. In its absence, the relative silence of the normal Fellreev is disconcerting.
Also disconcerting is the fact that it is apparently deep winter, now. It was mid-fall when you left traveled to the FeyWild, and although it seemed that you had only spent a few days there, at most, more than a month has passed on Oerth, it seems. There are signs of light snowfall all around you, and it is noticeably colder now. Knowing the somewhat delicate state of Farweald when you left, (some of) you are quite anxious about what may have befallen the largely destroyed town in your absence.
