Wardens of Oblivion

Post by NukeHavoc »

When we launched Weird Pulp we'd talked about a follow-up campaign set in the 1960s. The globe-spanning Wardens would still be the protagonists, but now the villains would be less pulpy and more James Bond.

My thinking right now is that we run this as a drop-in replacement when online or real-world gaming isn't working out. I'm thinking a sort of Alias- or Mission Impossible-style setup where we flit from location to location fighting the good fight, beating the bad guy, and getting home in time for a night cap. :)

There's a Savage Worlds supplement that's called Agents of Oblivion. I have the PDF but haven't figured out if it's something we'd want to use. It's very much a James Bond, superspy team vs. Unspeakable Evils sort of book, but there may be a little too much crunch for our needs.

I'd start all the characters at higher levels -- maybe Seasoned or Veteran -- because damn it, we're the kind of spies that kick ass.

What do you think?

So is this a legacy thing? Or just a new generation of Wardens? I don't think I was around for this conversation.

New generations of Wardens, though there's nothing stopping folks from playing the son/daughter/whatever of a 1930s era character.
