Armor was originally Full Plate +2 and Shield +2. Usually in 5e anything that is +1 or +2 converts to +1 to keep with the power level.
Amulet of Natural Armor does not show up in 5e. But an amulet that confers a +1 bonus doesn't sound too far off.

Sorry, Moraim... didn't notice you standing there with your 10 charisma
The light fortification breastplate you should make adamantine, since fortification gave % chance of protection from crits in 3.X.

He's dwarf. That 10 CHA means he is a handsome devil, by the standards of his race...setanta14 wrote:Sorry, Moraim... didn't notice you standing there with your 10 charisma

Roger that on the breastplate. With the +1 Plate, though, I don't expect he would wear it much.

So the Rod of Flailing doesn't have a direct analogue in 5e. But thematically, its similar to a Defender, just in flail for, instead of sword form. What do you think about converting it to a Defender?

Re: Moraim Conversion to 5e
That could work. I'm thinking it would likely be a flail rather than a dire flail, but having it transform into a Flail of Defending (+3 bonus, requires attunement) could work.EvilGenius wrote:So the Rod of Flailing doesn't have a direct analogue in 5e. I think the amulet could work; the question is whether it would require attunement. As a small item that's easily passed around characters for a quick bonus, it meets one of the guidelines for requiring attunement, even if it's less powerful than the Ring of Protection.
