Ravenloft: Placement

I'd recommend placing Ravenloft in the north eastern Great Kingdom, on the border with the Bone March. That's pretty wild, unclaimed land now. Also, the proximity of the former Great Kingdom meshes well with the presence of a powerful undead lord.
Alternately, we could place Barovia on the opposite end of the continent, near the Lordship of the Isles.

Yeah, perhaps the northern Harp River valley (headwaters)... between the Flinty Hills and the Blemu Hills (north of Knurl)

I think, that due to the lack of additional posts, we can assume this is where we are putting Ravenloft.
Just wanted to confirm, as it'll make a difference to our character backgrounds. That is, as we are going to be a pre-existing adventuring group, our backstories will probably now have us either hailing from parts of the Great Kingdom and it's surroundings or for some reason traveling to the area prior to our adventuring together.
