I agree. Although I not so sure about Bob's conference call, and the rules are not quite as shiney as I first thought, the idea of a SW campaign has me excited!

So far, I love the SWSE rules. It's like the best of 4E and 3.5E.
I also really like the Damage Threshold and Condition Track mechanic. Hit Points have also always been too annoyingly abstract for me. Now, if you get scalped by a lightsaber, you have to stop and say "ouch" (with the resulting impact on your combat effectiveness) - at least for a little while.
It always annoyed me that some fighter-o could get run through with a sword, shot with 3 arrows, and splashed with acid, and then continue to prance around the battlefield like Captain America. In SWSE, "that's gonna leave a mark".

Yeah, these are all things I'm enjoying as well. The condition track adds more bookkeeping, but like you said, I think it does a nice job of remedying the whole "hero to zero" phenomenon that you get with traditional hit points.erilar wrote:So far, I love the SWSE rules.
