The initial game went well. It's a pretty fast moving game, and there's enough variations among the various alien units you manuever and fight with to keep things interesting. It also appeared to be pretty well balanced; although Cory was dominating the map, some tactical use of "mission cards" (special objectives that need to be carried out to earn points) kept the score close (Cory won, 12-11).
The hexes that comprise the board are a little small, and I'm not sure how well it would hold up in three or four player configurations (I'm not sure if it would be quite so speedy) but so far, a pretty good game. Definitely better than Monsters Menace America
