You may have to borrow a DS for a bit. Aliens: Infestation is coming out on DS. It's a side-scroller being developed by WayForward (known for some great DS games like the recent Thor game, and Contra 4). It also has character designs by Chris Bachalo (who is one of my favorite comic book artists)!! Check it out:

The second most exciting thing I read about it (after Chris Bachalo doing the character design) is that it's supposed to have a Metroidvania feel to it! Can't wait!

An awesome article by Jeremy Parish of 1-up, a champion of the Metroidvania genre (by which I mean he loves them and often writes about them). He's also an Alien fan, a portable game fan, and 1-ups new Editor in Chief!

(Note: it includes hands on impressions from SDCC which might be considered spoilery... if you care about such things.)

I don't know if I'm more excited for this game or Colonial Marines... but I'm totally getting both!!!

Watching the video also reminds me I have to beat the DS version of Spiderman Shattered Dimensions, and Shadow Complex! ... after some review stuff I'm finishing up of course.
