If you're curious about the guy in the photo, it's Harold Marshall, a Canadian scout and sniper sergeant who served in the Second World War with the Calgary Highlanders' Scout and Sniper Platoon.

Seemed like appropriate inspiration for Paul.

Re: New Characters
Also ... how do we want to handle advances for new characters?
At this point the PC with the most experience is McGinnis, with 11 XP (Archibald previously held that record, with 13, but alas, he's dead). At this point everyone except the characters who started last week have enough XP for one advance, some have enough for two.
My thought is that we say new characters start one advance behind the highest point character. So since McGinnis has two advances, a new character would start with one advance (above and beyond their regular starting edges). If McGinnis had three, they'd start with two.
This allows them to stay on par with the rest of the group, but still let's the characters with the most experience show off their skills/edges/whatever.
What do you think?
